The Big 12 Preseason Coaches Baseball Poll is out and the Oklahoma Sooners are slated as the fifth team in the conference after collecting 37 total points.
The defending regular season champion Kansas State Wildcats were picked at the top, after collecting five of the nine first-place votes. Oklahoma State and TCU tied at second place, followed by Texas and then Oklahoma.

The Sooners have been selected first in the preseason on two different occasions, 2011 and 2013, but failed to win the regular season championship both times. Oklahoma starts their 2014 season on Friday February with the first of a three-game weekend series against Seton Hall. First pitch in game one is slated for 3:00 p.m. (CST).
