Anyone can look at the current state of the QB position and realize that help is needed. And help might just be on it's way. Earlier this afternoon Mike Farrel of Rivals.com tweeted out this
#UAAllAmerica rumor from today, QB Kyler Murray thinking about flipping to #Sooners -- interesting. #Aggies pic.twitter.com/u1nmyeYipd

When asked about the rumor, Murray neither confirmed nor denied anything, He did say he has time to figure it out. #TAMU #Sooners

It's hard to underestimate how big a deal this would be for the Sooners moving forward. Kyler Murray while slight in stature is a superstar on the field. He has led the Allen, TX Eagles to unprecedented heights at the highest level in the Texas High School football.
Murray has offers from school such as A&M, Auburn, Florida, Ohio State, Oregon, Notre Dame, and the Sooners.
The Sooners have several things working in their favor.
1) Kyle Allen
Kyle ended the season as the starting QB for A&M and ended the bowl game against WVU with over 300 total yards and 5 total TD's. He is also just a true freshman.
2) Kyler is the teammate of current Sooner OL commit Bobby Evans. He was also the former teammate of class of 2014 LB Tay Evans.
While its too early to say for sure whether this rumor will amount to anything, there is definitely some smoke. Kyler had the chance to squash it, but didn't.
In case you are wondering what type of player the Sooner would be getting check out this highlight of Murray in action.
Also just something to tuck away for future reference. Kyler is good friends with Greg Little.
