DL Tyrell Jacobs was one of the earliest Sooner commitment.Today he decommitted
Bob Pryzbolo of Scout.com tweeted out the news
#Sooners lose one. DL @tyrelljacobs98 texts he has decommitted from #OU. Committed to program in July

Tyrell is 6'4" 260lbs. and plays for Rummel High School in Metairie, Lousiana. He had committed to the Sooners over offers from the likes of Tenn, Miss St., KState, Louisville, Ark, and Arizona St. Look for Jacobs to end up in the SEC at a school like Mizzou, Ark, or Kentucky.
His decommitment leaves the Sooners with only 1 committed DE in the class of 2015, but I don't believe the Sooners will end up empty handed. In fact with the way the Sooner coaches have been recruiting, they assumed that several decommits would happen. The Sooners are still setting in good position (and quite possibly lead for several of the following prospects).
Gabriel Campell 6'6" 250lbs with offers from Ole Miss, Miss St., Kentucky, Bama, and Ark along with a Sooners offer
Neville Gallimore 6'3" 300 lbs. with offers from Bama, FSU, Ohio State, Oregon, Florida, Auburn, and Mich St. along with a Sooner offer
Darrion Daniels 6'4" 285lbs. with offers from Baylor, LSU, Texas, Ark, Mizzou, TTech, A&M, and Ole Miss along with a Sooners offer.
Du'Vonta Lampkin 6'4" 305 lbs. with offers from LSU, ASU, Miss St., Notre Dame, TCU, Baylor, and OKState along with a Sooner offer. The interesting thing with Lampkin is that he is currently a Texas commit, but recently visited the Sooners along with his teammate Nate Dalton.
If I had to guess as to how this DL class would end I would say the Sooners end up with
Gallimore or Daniels
Lampkin
Campbell
If the Sooners were to close with this class, then the loss of Jacobs would be minimal.
