Gabriel Campbell is the ideal candidate to play DE in a 3-4. Checking in at 6'6" 250lbs. as a Senior in high school means that he can easily carry 275lbs + on his frame at the college level. Campbell has had a Sooner offer for a long time, but he is finally making the trek to Norman this weekend to take in Bedlam.
Bob Pryzbolo of Scout.com confirmed his visit via twitter.
Just talked with #Sooners target @Gabecatcampbell. Confirms everything is still good to go for #OU visit this weekend

Campbell plays for Yazoo City High School in Yazoo City, Mississippi and has offers from the likes of Ole Miss, Miss St., Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, and the Sooners. Most would look at his offer sheet and say the Sooners had very little if any chance. However, I wouldn't be the least surprised if Campbell ends up a part of the class of 2015. He is another recruit that the Sooners must land. He is only a 3 star on Rivals.com but he was one of the earliest Sooner offers. He is definitely a "Plan A" recruit for the Sooners. Campbell would join fellow DL commits Marquise Overton, Tyrell Jacobs, and Kenneth Mann should he decide to be a part of the class of 2015.
