Knight Ruled Out
For the third consecutive week, Cody Thomas assumes the starting role under center for the Oklahoma Sooners. On Monday during the weekly media luncheon, head coach Bob Stoops made the announcement which ruled Trevor Knight out once again moving forward.

Knight's condition continues to be monitored. The hope from many fans remains that the kid as well as the coaches not rush into a decision. Simply put, the risk (a career ending injury) is not worth the reward (a win).
Bell Expected To Return
From the above tweet, the casual fan may read it as Blake Bell returns under center. However, that is not the case. While Blake Bell is expected to return to the field this weekend it remains at tight end. Against Texas Tech, Blake Bell suffered a knee injury sidelining him against the following week. Now, with the bye week firmly in the rearview mirror, the tight end looks to continue the Bedlam heroics, this time in a different capacity.
Hayes & Shepard Remain Questionable
Over the course of the second half of the season, star receiver Sterling Shepard continuously pulled himself from play after suffering a groin injury. Unfortunately, the same situation appears to be playing out as Bedlam approaches.
Sterling Shepard remains day to day. Will be a game-time decision. "It's hard to gauge," Stoops said.

Lastly, a suffering secondary cannot afford to lose an experienced player like Quentin Hayes. The strong safety left that game against Kansas with an ankle injury. Yet, Hayes sits on the questionable list although he has made improvement over the holiday week.
Stoops said Hayes improved last week. Doesn't know if he'll be back for Bedlam.
