Yesterday he was in Waco. Today he is in Indianapolis visiting super star MLB Darrin Kirkland Jr. Kirkland checks in at 6'1" 235lbs. and has narrowed his schools down to Ole Miss, Texas, Tennessee, USC, and the Sooners. The Sooners probably will find themselves on the outside looking in come signing day, but they clearly have not given up in the pursuit for Kirkland.

Linebacker recruiting is the most glaring need left in the class of 2015. The Sooners currently have ZERO commits and only 9 returning LBs on scholarship (8 depending on what shakes out with Frank Shannon). Securing a commitment from a player like Kirkland would go a long ways to easing fears of what is now a razor thin depth chart going into next year.
