******THURSDAY NIGHT UPDATE********
Darrin Kirkland announced earlier this evening that he has officially decommitted from Michigan with the following tweet

Darrin Kirkland Jr. found himself at one point an integral part of the class of 2015 for the Michigan Wolverines. The uncertainty (to put it nicely) surrounding the program has caused him to rethink his commitment and take visits. In fact I would guess that at this point barring a homerun hire by the Wolverines after Hoke is fired, that Kirkland will find himself signing with a different school on National Signing Day.
This weekend, Kirkland will be visiting the Sooners and will get an opportunity to see the Sooner defense and the University up close.
Josh Helmholdt of Rivals.com confirmed that Kirkland would be in Norman this weekend with the following tweet.

Kirkland, who checks in at 6'1" 230lbs. could star at MLB at the college level and that is where the Sooners see him. Kirkland also has offers from other schools such as Ole Miss, Mizzou, Texas, USC, MIss St, Nebraska, and Oregon.
A big win against the Bears on Saturday could go a long way to Kirkland being a part of the class of 2015.
