Oklahoma Sooners Move Up In College Football Playoff Rankings

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

Heading into the second week of the College Football Playoff Rankings, the committee was tasked with replacing their initial No. 4 team in Ole Miss. With more than a handful of one-loss teams looking to move up, the CFB Nation waited with anticipation for the reveal. The big winner? The Oregon Ducks who slide up into the playoff picture while Auburn remains the best one-loss team in the eyes of the committee.

The Oklahoma Sooners no longer continue to find themselves ranked as the nation's best two-loss team after moving up three places. That title now belongs to Ole Miss. However, the biggest loser of the week was none other than the Georgia Bulldogs who dropped nine spots followed by the Arizona Wildcats who dropped seven spots after a loss.
