JUCO WR Dede Westbrook let the world know via twitter that he committed to the Sooners.
I finally came to my decision.. There's only one..#BoomerSooner I will be taking my talents to Norman, OK in January..#Sooners

It's obvious that the Sooners need playmakers at WR. After Sterling Shepard went down with a groin injury the passing game took a huge hit. The Sooners had hoped that Dorial Green-Beckham would have been ruled eligible for this season, but that never happened. The commitment of Westbrook should really help fill that talent gap and provide the Sooners with a big threat in the passing game.
Westbrook's receiving numbers are almost video game like. Eric Bailey of the Tulsa World let us know his stats with this tweet.
New #Sooners WR juco commit Dede Westbrook averaged 185.9 receiving yds per game in 2014. 76 catches/1487 yds (8 games). Avg 19.6 yds/catch.

It's hard to understate the importance of this commitment. With the lackluster play of the WR corp behind Shepard, Westbrook should have every opportunity to make a huge impact for the Sooners next year.
Westbrook will gradate and enroll at OU in January.
Westbrook chose the Sooners over offers from ASU, Baylor, KSU, OKState, TTech, WVU, and Mizzou. He is a 4 star recruit on Rivals.com
