The Oklahoma Sooners Men's Basektball program continues their rise to the top of the conference. At the start of last season, OU found themselves picked to finish 5th in the Big XII. Proving all doubters wrong, Buddy Hield led the Sooners to a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance along with a 2nd place finish in the conference at the close of the regular season.
Retaining 68% of the scoring talent, Oklahoma now finds themselves picked to finish 3rd in the Big XII Preseason Poll.

Although OU loses their top 3-point threats (Cameron Clark and Tyler Neal), this team looks to live and die by the three point shot once again while attempting to play an uptempo yet physical style of ball. As a team, the Sooners connected on 37.9% of the shots fired up from beyond the arc. Those leading the charge are as follows:
Isaiah Cousins - JR - 40.4%
Buddy Hield - JR - 38.6%
Jordan Woodard - SO- 37.0%
Frank Booker - SO - 36.8%
Adding a few post players, Oklahoma now possesses depth in the blocks not seen in past years. Can they continue to score at a clip of 81.9 points per game? Only time will tell.
