Trevor Knight Undisclosed Injury

After jumping out to a great start, an untimely event unfolded as Trevor Knight took a shot to the back while diving at the end of a play. The result of the play forced back-up, Cody Thomas into the game until the starter returned for the next drive. Regardless, Knight left the stadium with his non-throwing arm in a sling leading to missed practices during the off week.

During Monday's Big XII Teleconference, head coach Bob Stoops acknowledged the injury a week after refusing to comment on the situation. However, he failed to disclose any information...as usual.

Question: "Bob, why exactly was Trevor out?"

Answer: "I'm not gonna say. Why would I tell you? You're looking at me like that's unusual. He's a quarterback. If everyone knows what's injured on him, then they go target it. Right? You're not a betting guy are you? He's gonna play so don't worry about it."

Keith Ford Expected To Return To Practice

Through the first three games of the season, Ford proved to be the most valuable back on the roster with 194 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Initially, the running back was expected to miss 2-3 weeks due to a foot injury. That time frame quickly expanded to cover six weeks. On Monday, it was announced that Ford will be returning to practice. Assuming he is ready to go this weekend, fans could see a three-man rotation in the backfield once again.

Zack Sanchez Says He's 100%

In a 52-7 thrashing of an in-state opponent, Oklahoma's Zack Sanchez suffered an injury shoulder. The injury continued to plague the cornerback at the onset of conference play. It became clear just how much the star of the secondary was suffering against the physical prowess of WVU's Kevin White.

Slowly returning to form, Sanchez says he is at 100% moving forward!
