Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight was off to a solid start in Saturday afternoon against #14 Kansas State. The Sooner fans worst nightmare unfolded before their eyes as Knight took a shot to the back while diving at the end of a running play. Before that point, Knight was 4-for-4 before the injury.
Back up quarterback Cody Thomas finished the drive for the Sooners which ended on a Samaje Perine touchdown run. Knight came back in on the next drive.
Oklahoma fullback Aaron Ripkowski was also ejected on the same play for a targeting call on a block of Wildcats linebacker Ryan Mueller.
The Sooners and Wildcats are one of two Big 12 games today that feature top 15 teams against each other.
Trevor Knight gets speared and an OU fullback is ejected. Yup, you're awesome @Big12Conference officials!

Considering everything that went wrong, that was a great scoring drive for @OU_Football. #Sooners lead #KState 7-0
