Heading into last season, the Oklahoma Sooners failed to receive a single vote in the preseason coaches' poll. After consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance finishing ranked No. 27, others across the nation are starting to take notice. Fast forward to this year as Lon Kruger and his squad are featured inside the top twenty-five at No. 19 in the preseason.
While there is a top ten opponent making the journey to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis in North Carolina, there is no guarantee the Sooners face the Tarheels in the tournament. That leaves Oklahoma matched up against unranked teams until conference play begins. Currently, four Big XII programs find themselves inside the top twenty-five.
