As the Oklahoma Sooners coaching staff works to increase its recruiting footprint the next big commitment may be coming from the backyard of the national champions. Tallahassee, FL product (Lincoln HS) Kendall Randolph is scheduled to make a visit to Norman on the 31st but in a Twitter conversation with former Sooner defensive back Tony Jefferson he may have tipped his hand a bit.
I'm trynna be the next @tonyjefferson1 what y'all think? #OU #BoomerSooner #Only1

@xKenJ be better bra. And the only way to do that is go to a school like OU who competes for championships every year! You gotta rock #1 too

Granted, some of this may be a bit of posturing from a high school kid to get some attention but there seems to be more to it than that. Some in Randolph's timeline are encouraging him to head to Norman to play ball while others are trying to persuade him elsewhere.
The 50th rated player in the state of Florida (per Rivals), Randolph has drawn offers from 24 schools including Florida State. Landing him as a member of the 2014 class would be a huge get for the Sooners because they would have snatched him from the likes of the Seminoles, Alabama, Miami (FL), Stanford, and UCLA, among others.
While Twitter conversations are nowhere close to being official, it does look like Oklahoma could have a bit of a lead on Randolph, even before he makes his official visit at the end of the month.
