Its time to move Baker Mayfield from the walk-on to the scholarship category. Texas Tech's true freshman made a case for the Big Twelve's offensive player of the week for the second consecutive week. This time the victim was a Stephen F. Austin secondary that Mayfield shredded for 367 yards and three touchdown passes.
Leading 45-7 at the half, this game was never in jeopardy for the Red Raiders as they haven't been challenged for two weeks in a row now. That may all change on Thursday night though when Texas Tech plays their conference opener against TCU.
