Kansas Wins By A Leg

After a tight battle, the Kansas Jayhawks eventually emerged victorious. With the clock winding down and the score knotted up at 10, the Bulldogs marched down the field for what should have been a go ahead score. But, as the day would have it, the ball popped out as Kansas recovered on their own 5-yard line.

Going the opposite way, KU found themselves in field goal range as Matt Wyman had the kick of a lifetime. The 52 yard attempt was good as KU downed Louisiana Tech 13-10.

The biggest story line here has been the question of if and when will KU defeat an FBS opponent. Entering today's contest, the Kansas Jayhawks had yet to do so during a dismal 1-11 season last year. Needless to say the only way for this team to go would be up.

Jake Heaps threw for 279 yards. However, he had only one touchdown to two interceptions...not ideal stats for a struggling Jayhawks team.
