It took until the second half for the Iowa State Cyclones to get things figured out offensively on Saturday night, but by that point it was too little too late.
Trailing 13-0 at the half, the Cyclones were to score 21 points in the game's final thirty minutes while racking up 263 of their 319 total offensive yards. However, the thirteen points they gave up in the first half and the two scores allowed in the second were too much to overcome.
Iowa's Mark Weisman ran for 145 yards on 35 carries and Jake Rudock threw two touchdown passes to lead the Hawkeyes to a 27-21 win in the state rivalry game.
