College Football Saturday Open Game Thread

The Red Raiders scored the Big Twelve's first win of the season, on Friday night, by defeating SMU 41-23

It didn't take the Big Twelve very long into the 2013 college football season to get an eye blackened. With Texas Tech and Kansas State playing their openers on Friday night, the Red Raiders handled their business with a backup quarterback and the Wildcats were handled by the defending FCS national champs. The Wildcats managed just 41 yards on the ground and saw their lead slip away late in the game as they fell to North Dakota State 24-21. This in now the fourth season in a row that the Bison have defeated a FBS school.

Seven other Big Twelve schools will be in action today (Kansas is off) as the first Saturday of the college football season gets rolling. Two of the games are marquee match-ups, with Oklahoma State taking on Mississippi State and TCU squaring off against LSU.

This thread will be your place to hang out for updates and conversation about Saturday's games.
