2013 Countdown To Kickoff: 31 Days!

Frustrating is the best word to sum up Oklahoma's 2011 season. After starting off 6-0, the Sooners were shocked at home by Texas Tech and then dropped road games, at Baylor and Oklahoma State, over the last six weeks of the season. A season that started with so much promise ended with the Sooners in the Insight Bowl against Iowa. Many were even skeptical if OU could pull it together to beat the Hawkeyes, especially when considering the house cleaning that took place on the Sooner roster. The end result was a 31-14 Sooner victory with Blake Bell earning MVP honors with 51 yards rushing and three touchdowns on just ten carries.
