On December 29, 1991 former Sooner quarterback (and current running backs coach) Cale Gundy completed 25 of 31 passes for 329 yards as #20 Oklahoma routed #19 Virginia 48-14 in the Gator Bowl. After one of the best outings ever by an OU quarterback, Gundy was named MVP of the bowl.
