Oklahoma's Gatorade POY Signs With the Sooners

The Oklahoma Sooners baseball program has struggled at the plate at times this season. In an attempt to address the issue, Sunny Golloway went out and landed a power hitter.

Earlier today, a national letter of intent was signed and sent in to the University of Oklahoma. Upon picking it up and reading it, it was quickly discovered that it was intended for head coach Sunny Golloway.

After leading his Owasso Rams team to an undefeated 6A season while garnering Oklahoma's Gatorade Player of the Year honors, Austin O'Brien inked his name on that national letter of intent. O'Brien possesses power at the plate that makes him stand out amongst his competitors.

Batting .402 with 10 home runs while only striking out nine times in his 107 appearances, this is a kid that will only get better once in a collegiate level strength and conditioning program.

Welcome to Sooner Nation Austin!
