It appears the top two seeds in this Blacksburg regional will have a chance to play one another finally. Virginia Tech held off elimination with a 3-1 win over UConn earlier today and now a little over an hour later will face elimination again against Oklahoma.
With a win, the Sooners advance to a likely Super Regional match-up with SEC powerhouse LSU. With a loss, the Sooners and Hokies would play again tomorrow to determine which team would advance.
Jake Fisher is expected to start for Oklahoma tonight, but if he sees any kind of trouble early don't be surprised if Sunny Golloway goes to his bullpen early and/or often.
