Earlier Saturday evening reports have been confirmed that quarterback Everett Golson is no longer enrolled at Notre Dame. While it remains uncertain whether he can re-enroll at the university, it is strongly speculated that he will be unavailable for the entire 2013 football season.

The Chicago Trubune broke the story on Saturday evening with Brian Hamilton reporting that the university had confirmed Golson's absence to him.
#NotreDame officials cannot comment as to when Everett Golson is eligible for renrollment. The belief, though, is he's out for 2013 season.

This relates to Oklahoma in the fact that the Sooners will travel to South Bend, to play the Irish, on September 28th. In last year's 30-13 win over the Sooners, in Norman, Golson completed 52% of his passes for 177 yards. His absence leaves former starter Tommy Rees and Andrew Hendrix to battle through the summer to become this fall's starting quarterback.
