As first reported by Carey Murdock of SoonerScoop.com, Oklahoma redshirt sophomore quarterback Kendal Thompson was arrested early Friday morning and charged with public intoxication and interfering with a police officer.
It is impossible to know what type of punishment Thompson would face from a team standpoint. Based on previous incidents of a similar nature, Thompson may not be subject to a suspension which would force him to miss any game time. But at a minimum it's not a good look for a guy who is (was?) competing for the starting quarterback job with Blake Bell (and to a somewhat lesser extent, Trevor Knight).
Welp, you know what we always say during the off-season. The less you hear about your team, the better.
