Oklahoma posted their most impressive win on the season on Saturday when they blanked #12 UCLA off the arm of Jonathan Gray and the bat of Matt Oberste. It was an all around complete victory for the Sooners that included clutch pitching and the clutch hitting that had been missing over the last two games.

Oberste put the Sooners up 3-0 in the top of the 4th with one swing of the bat. After Craig Aikin drew a walk and Max White reached on catcher's interference Oberste sent the ball over the right field fence for his fifth home run of the season. That would be all of the offense that Oklahoma would need but they added an insurance run in the sixth when Anthony Hermelyn knocked in Max White to get to the final score of 4-0.
Jonathan Gray was fantastic, once again, in his start for Oklahoma. Showing power and control he threw seven complete innings, allowing just five hits while striking out eight UCLA batters. In relief Jacob Evans and Billy Waltrip pitched two shutout innings with Evans facing and retiring three batters in the eighth and Waltrip striking out two of the four batters that he faced in the ninth. Oklahoma's pitchers held UCLA to just five total hits for the game.
Oklahoma plays the finale of their west coast trip tomorrow when they take on #22 Notre Dame at Noon.
