If you're keeping track at home, Jacob Evans became the sixth weekly award winner for Oklahoma's baseball program this season. On Monday Evans joined Matt Oberste (twice), Dillon Overton, and Jonathan Gray (twice) in earning conference accolades.
A freshman left-handed pitcher from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Evans threw 8.1 scoreless innings of relief against TCU over the weekend to earn his fourth save (Saturday) and fourth win (Sunday) on the season. He currently has a 0.71 ERA on the season and has fanned 23 batters, to just four walks, in 25.1 innings of work. He struck out nine TCU batters over the weekend and has not allowed a run to score in his last ten innings of work.
