Oklahoma opens Big 12 Conference play with the first of a three game series Friday afternoon against TCU. The Horned Frogs were picked in the preseason as a co-favorite along with the Sooners, but have started out the season much slower than expected. TCU currently stands at 9-11 on the season and 1-2 in Big 12 play having already opened their conference season.

Friday's game, with first pitched scheduled for shortly after 2 p.m. (CST), should feature a very good pitching match-up between Oklahoma's Jonathan Gray (4-1, 1.51 ERA, 35.2 IP, 8 BB, 39 SO) and TCU's Preston Morrison (3-1, 0.96 ERA, 37.2 IP, 5 BB, 26 SO).

The Sooners enter the series with two significant streaks on the line, their own seven-game winning streak as well as Matt Oberste's 26-game hitting streak (dating back to last season).

Oklahoma leads the all-time series 52-21, but dropped both meetings with TCU last season.
