In just the bounce back game that they needed, Oklahoma blanked #12 UCLA on Saturday afternoon 4-0. Now they'll be looking to return from the West Coast with a 2-1 record by getting past #22 Notre Dame this afternoon. The Irish are looking to come home from LA with a 2-1 record as well after falling to UCLA on Friday night before beating USC on Saturday.

The Irish bring in a batting lineup that averages .273 and is led by Ryan Bull who is averaging .404 from the plate. Eric Jagielo is batting .378, leading the team with 14 RBI and tied with Trey Mancini with three home runs. They'll be going up against Adam Choplick who will be making his second Sunday start and the biggest start of his Sooner career. A redshirt freshman, Choplick is 2-0 on the season with a 0.87 ERA. He's worked a total of 10.1 innings this season with nine strikeouts.

Notre Dame will be putting a freshman on the mound as well. David Hearne has an 0-1 record with a 4.30 ERA. He has struck out 15 batters in 14.2 innings of work. He will have to face Oklahoma's Matt Oberste who continues to be red hot this season. His three-run homer on Saturday was his fifth of the season. He has team highs in batting average (.429), home runs, RBI (23) and total bases (48).

After the conclusion of this west coast trip the Sooners return to Norman for ten consecutive games, including their first conference series of the season when they host TCU March 22-24. Today's game will be broadcast on AM 1400 and on the Sooner Radio Network.
