Dillon Overton opened the season for the Sooners by leading them to a 10-4 victory on Friday. He threw seven full innings, allowing just two hits, and struck out seven batters along the way. Overton retired 19 of the final 23 batters that he faced.

Oberste was huge from the plate this weekend for Oklahoma. He recorded a total of six hits (.429 batting average) including a double, a triple and a home run to bring his weekend RBI count to nine. On Saturday evening he hit a two-out, two RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra innings. Oklahoma eventually won the game 11-10 in eleven innings. On Sunday afternoon he ended the series with a walk-off three-run home run, over the right field wall, to secure the sweep for the Sooners. His nine RBIs are currently the most in the Big 12.

The Sooners are at home this week to play a two-game set against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, beginning on Tuesday afternoon, before traveling to Corpus Christi this weekend for the Kleberg Bank College Classic.
