The Pitch Count - What We Learned About OU Hurlers
When all is said and done, your baseball team is only going to go as far as your pitching staff can take you. Oklahoma started the season with a four-game sweep of Hofstra and while the batting was more than solid (31 runs in four games) the pitching staff had an impressive performance as a whole but a bit of an up and down performance individually.

Oberste's Walk-Off Seals Sweep Of Hofstra
After a comfortable win in the season opener the Oklahoma baseball team had to survive three consecutive nail biting finishes to start the season with a 4-0 record. While there were plenty of plays made by OU's newcomers in the series, the biggest play on Sunday afternoon came when Matt Oberste did what he does best.

Baseball Game Thread - Going For The Sweep!
Oklahoma and Hofstra played twenty innings of baseball on Saturday and will compete for one final time this afternoon. The Sooners have won the series three games to none and will be looking for the sweep today.

Saturday Baseball Game Thread - Double Header
Oklahoma took the first of a four game series against Hofstra on Friday when they scored a 10-4 victory a L. Dale Mitchell Park. The two teams will square off once again, in a double-header, giving the Sooners the opportunity to take the series.

New Guys Lead Sooners In 10-4 Season Opener Win
The end result was what they wanted, a 10-4 win, but the process of getting there was a struggle at times. The Sooners committed four errors in the opener but a solid performance from the mound by Dillon Overton.
