Sooners In The NFL | Week Thirteen

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

As they are wont to do, the action this week in the NFL for former Sooners was led by two former OU greats at the running back positions. Adrian Peterson and DeMarco Murray contributed significantly to their teams' respective wins.

Peterson also became the fourth fastest player in the history of the NFL to eclipse the 10,000 yards rushing mark, which is an incredibly impressive accomplishment for the former OU All-American.

Other items of note: both Stacy McGee and Donald Stephenson continue to hold down starting jobs. Frank Alexander got a start as well for Carolina. And the Monday night match-up will have a bit of an OU feel with the Saints having three former Sooners on their roster.
