At the close of the 2012 season, Brennan Clay had entrenched himself as the Bedlam hero. Afterward, I went on record saying that he would experience a breakout season as a senior. Whether you agree or disagree with that statement, you cannot deny that Clay was a vital part of the success of the Oklahoma Sooners in 2013.

Against the TCU Horned Frogs, the Sooners offense struggled to get going thanks to an elite secondary. With TCU making a push to steal the lead late in tha game and Oklahoma pinned deep in their own territory, Clay rose to the occasion.

Rattling off a 76-yard run to pay dirt put Oklahoma up 20-13 in the fourth quarter with plenty of time left in regulation. However, the touchdown proved to be the safety net that the Sooners dearly needed as Trevone Boykin led his team down the field for one final score.
