Following their first loss on the season this past Sunday against No. 5 Louisville, the Oklahoma women's basketball team bounced back with an easy 99-46 victory Wednesday night over UT-Arlington.

The Sooners jumped out to a 10-0 lead and from there the game was really never in doubt with OU leading comfortably 52-19 at the half.

The story of the game had to be the performance of true freshman sharp-shooter Derica Wyatt who tied an OU freshman record in the game with her seven (yes, seven!) three pointers.  She would finish with 23 points in the game going 7-11 from three and 8-13 from the field overall All this from a player who hadn't even seen the court in Oklahoma's previous two games.

Other than that it was pretty much business as usual.  Aaryn Ellenberg led in scoring with a team and game high 24 points.  Morgan Hook was her calm, steadying self at the point, Kaylon Williams managed double digits in scoring off the bench, and Nicole Griffin put up an efficient 13 points of her own.

One other item of note, another OU true freshman had a moment with Gioya Carter getting the first start of her young career.

The OU women return to action this Sunday when they travel out of Los Angeles to take on a talented UCLA team. The game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. (CT) tip with the game airing on the Pac 12 Network.
