Though it shouldn't have come as news to anyone familiar with Big 12 Conference rules, Bob Stoops did confirm during his Monday press conference that defensive end Charles Tapper would be suspended for the first half of this Saturday's game against Iowa State.
Tapper threw a punch at a Baylor player late in the game last Thursday and as a result was ejected from the game. That ejection carries with it an automatic suspension that player must serve in their next game.
The sophomore defensive end leads the Sooners in sacks with four and a half on the season and is fifth on the team in tackles with 38.
