Jason Kersey of The Oklahoman is reporting that for the second consecutive year the OU women's basketball team has been dealt an injury blow before their season has even started.
Starting point guard Morgan Hook reportedly suffered a dislocated thumb during Friday night's intrasquad scrimmage, but the injury is not expected to keep her out for an extended period of time.
However redshirt freshman guard Maddie Manning appears to have suffered another knee injury, potentially season ending, after falling victim to the same fate early last season. If this tweet from fellow OU basketball player, James Fraschilla, is any indication Manning appears to have suffered another torn ACL.

If you recall last season, Oklahoma lost enough players to season ending injuries that Sherri Coale was forced to poach two players from the Sooners volleyball team just to have a roster deep enough to go five-on-five in practices. This year's situation doesn't appear to be quite as dire yet, but Manning was expected to play significant minutes this season so her loss will certainly be felt.
