In news that will shock none of you, ESPN College Gameday will not be coming to Norman this Saturday for the Oklahoma vs. Kansas State matchup.
Instead, as we (and many others I'm sure) predicted, they will be in Tallahassee for the Florida State vs. Clemson showdown.
Obviously we're pretty biased here and if we had to, we could probably make an argument for why Norman should have been the choice . . . but c'mon. FSU vs. Clemson is a Top 10 matchup and, at least on paper, the better game. Personally, I could care less as I don't particularly enjoy Gameday either in person (complete waste of time) or watching from home. That said, it obviously would have been positive for both the team and the school had ESPN made the trip to Norman. So from that aspect, as a fan, it's disappointing even though we clearly saw it coming.
Oklahoma definitely has the easier road, schedule wise, on the way to Dallas compared to what Texas is facing, but if both can manage to come in unscathed Gameday's presence will be a mortal lock (I think).
