UPDATE: Naturally the night I would put this together something would happen to make it all go down the drain.
Just received a text from Colleyville (Texas) Heritage QB, Cody Thomas saying that the #Sooners have offered him a scholarship today.

For some time it was believed the Sooners were focusing on three specific 2013 prospects at quarterback after missing out on their top choice in Max Browne (who committed to USC). Those names are Brayden Scott, Kelly Hilinski, and Cody Thomas however there appears to be a fourth name emerging as a possibility.
That name is Hayden Rettig, a pro style quarterback out of Los Angeles (CA) and Cathedral high school. He's a guy who has somewhat flown under the radar because of a season ending knee injury in just his team's second game last year. In the one game prior to his injury, Rettig put up a so-so 508 yards and six touchdowns. However after tearing his ACL and meniscus in that second game, teams have been taking their time in evaluating his return to form. He currently holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Boston College (his brother is the current QB there), Houston, and Purdue among others but Alabama and LSU are reportedly also in the mix.
Oklahoma offensive coordinator Josh Heupel is likely to visit Rettig on the same trip he'll be taken in a couple weeks to see Hilinski (also a California product). It's believed that Heupel wants to see, in person, each recruit throw before he extends the Sooners next offer at the position. What he's likely to see in Rettig is a player who has solid fundamentals and a very smooth throwing motion. Looks like a very polished quarterback on film. He spends a lot of time in shotgun in a spread offense that throws plenty of short timing routes. Gets rid of the ball quickly and on target.
Heupel and Oklahoma will take their time before handing out their next offer at the position as it's an offer they will not want to miss on a second time. It's highly likely that whichever of the four players above receives said offer they commit shortly thereafter. So were all in the same position just waiting to see who they player will be.
