Big XII Baseball Update (5-3-12): Can Baylor Go Undefeated?

The Baylor Bears have been the story all season long in Big XII baseball. Now as the conference season draws to a close the Bears have a series at Oklahoma and one at Texas remaining on their schedule. So, the question is, can Baylor run through the Big XII conference undefeated?

Team Overall Record What Happened Last Week
Baylor 38-8 The Bears have stepped away from Big XII conference play for a little while, scoring wins over UT Arlington and New Mexico State (2 games).
Kansas 18-27 The Jayhawks won a mid-week game against Kansas State last week (doesn't count for the conference record) before losing two games to Oklahoma at home in a rain shortened series. The posted a 16-12 win over Arkansas-Little Rock on Tuesday night.
Kansas State 19-27 The Wildcats are riding a conference high nine-game losing streak in conference play right now. After losing the mid-week game to Kansas last week they were swept at home by Oklahoma State before falling to Wichita State on Tuesday night.
Missouri 23-21 The Tigers lost their weekend series at Texas Tech (2-1) and then were swept in two games by Arkansas on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Sophomore Rob Zastryzny was the Big XII Pitcher of the Week for last week.
Oklahoma 29-17 Mid-week games continue to plague the Sooners. They dropped two last week to Oklahoma State and Dallas Baptist and then fell in Ft. Worth on Tuesday of this week after having swept Kansas in Lawrence and hammering Mid-America on Monday night. Junior Max White was the Big XII Player of the Week for last week.
Oklahoma State 26-17 The Cowboys currently have the longest winning streak in the Big XII at nine games. Before sweeping Kansas State over the weekend they took out Oklahoma 6-1 in a mid-week game. Junior Trey Whaley was the Big XII Newcomer of the Week for last week.
Texas 26-16 The Longhorns lost two of their three games against Texas A&M over the weekend but bounced back to handle Prairie View A&M 5-2 on Tuesday night.
Texas A&M 32-13 The Aggies down TCU 4-1 last week, took two of three from Texas over the weekend and then pounded Sam Houston State 10-0 on Tuesday night of this week.
Texas Tech 26-22 The Red Raiders split wit New Mexico State last week in a pair of mid-week games, lost two of three to Missouri over the weekend and then handled New Mexico State 12-7 on Tuesday night of this week.
