OU Softball's Keilani Ricketts Named National Player Of The Year

OU Softball's superstar junior Keilani Ricketts was named the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year by the Amateur Softball Association Tuesday evening. Ricketts has been absolutely dominating this season both in the circle as the Sooners ace, but also at the plate batting a ridiculous .413 on the season. As a pitcher, she is third in the country with 393 strikeouts and fifth with 33 victories.

It's a well deserved honor for a player who will very likely go down as one of the best to ever wear the crimson and cream. A massive congratulations to Keilani for this impressive accomplishment as well as to her teammates (who we're sure she'd be very quick to thank) who together have put together an outstanding season which is still ongoing by the way.

Oklahoma and Ricketts return to action Thursday afternoon in the opening game of the Women's College World Series.
