I'm not ready to say that Oklahoma is surging just yet but a win tonight would give the Sooners four consecutive wins over Top 25 teams and then we could possibly make that assertion. OU has to handle business and they have to be completely business like in their approach. By sweeping Baylor over the weekend all they proved is that they are worthy to be back in the hunt. Finishing out the regular season by going 4-0 this week would officially put them back in the hunt. It all starts tonight though!

The Sooners will look to Dillon Overton to take the mound against the Frogs. Overton has struggled in his last two starts and left the game extremely early, leaving some to question if their isn't something wrong to him. For the season Overton is 5-2 with a 3.70 ERA. He had been considered one of Oklahoma's most reliable pitchers but his starts against OSU and Baylor were very shaky to say the least.

Going up against Overton will be a TCU lineup that is batting a team average of .260 but led by Jason Coats, who is hitting .341 with 6 home runs and a team high 43 RBI. Josh Elander leads the team with 7 home runs and is second in RBI with 34. In the previous game against Oklahoma (4-3 TCU win) the two combined for a 2-for-6 performance from the plate so the Frogs obviously have other guys in the line up who can beat you.

Brandon Finnegan takes the mound for the Frogs. He's a lefty who has a 2-3 record and a 3.15 ERA. Oklahoma's line up has struggled this season against lefties and they'll be looking to break that trend tonight. Max White is OU's RBI leader at 50 and is also sporting a team high .344 batting average. The Sooners saw their bats wake up in the finale against Baylor last Sunday and will be looking to continue that streak tonight.

With a 32-16 record on the season and a Top 20 ranking, TCU provides Oklahoma the final opportunity to notch another win against a ranked opponent during the regular season. A win tonight would give the Sooners a fourth consecutive win over Top 25 teams. First pitch is set for 6:30.
