This week in baseball didn't get off to a great start for the Sooners as they fell to Oklahoma State, 6-1, on Tuesday night. There's no time to rest or sulk in the loss though as Dallas Baptist comes to Norman tonight for a rematch against a team that rallied in the ninth inning for a 7-6 win.

DBU has won seven of their last ten games. They have 17 players returning from last year's squad that finished 42-20 and advanced all the way to the NCAA Super Regionals. Led by Austin Elkins the Patriots have five players hitting .302 or better. Elkins has a .415 batting average and places second on the team with 32 RBIs. Boomer Collins is leading the Patriots in home runs with 10 and its Joel Hutter pacing the team in RBIs with 41.

Dillon Overton is slated for the start and will put his 5-1 record on the line against DBU. Overton's ERA stands at 3.75 and is second on the team with 66 strikeouts. There's a solid chance that Sunny Galloway will look for Overton to try for a complete game.

In order for Overton to go nine innings, then Oklahoma needs their offense to come back around after getting shutdown by OSU pitchers. Max White's .355 batting average leads the team and his 35 RBIs also top the squad. Hunter Lockwood leads the Big XII with nine homer runs but the freshman is struggling as of late. These two guys need to continue to play strong but they'll also need at least a third wheel to get on board with them.

First pitch is slated for 6:30 tonight.
