Riding their current five-game winning streak into the weekend the Sooners will be looking to extend it to eight games as they host Alabama State. Head coach Sunny Galloway has yet to name a Sunday starter for the series but we do know that Jordan John will take the mound tonight in the opener and then Jonathan Gray on Saturday.

John has improved his season record to 6-4 and his ERA to 2.92. He has struck out 55 batters in 61.2 innings of work while allowing 20 earned runs. He'll be going up against Alabama State's Joel Alvira who is sporting a 3-3 record and 3.33 ERA.

Saturday gives up Gray vs. T.J. Renda. Gray is 3-4 on the season with a 5.29 ERA. He's given up 60 hits, in his 49.1 innings of work, while also striking out 45 batters. Renda is 4-3 on the season with a 3.97 ERA.

While we'll have to wait to see who Galloway chooses to throw on Sunday (there's more than a good chance that it'll be Dillon Overton) we do know that Alabama State has Anthony Ricciardi slated to start. Ricciardi is 3-1 on the season with a 4.25 ERA.

Both Richard Gonzalez and Darrion Pedro lead the Hornets in batting average a .320 but its Waldyvan Estrada who is possibly the team's offensive MVP. Estrada is hitting .268 and has a team high 6 home runs with 31 RBIs which is also a team high.

Oklahoma currently has five batters right now hitting better than .300. The Sooners are being paced by Erik Ross who is hitting .349. Hunter Lockwood's 33 RBIs are a team high and his 9 home runs are both team and Big XII Conference highs.

Alabama State returns seven players from last year's team that finished 14-29. They come to Norman with a 16-23 record. First pitch in game one is set for 6:30 tonight.
