The pitching genius of Jordan John is no secret to Oklahoma baseball fans and now the entire BIG XII world is aware of him.
John has appeared in six of Oklahoma's ten games this season and leads the team in wins (3) despite never being a starter. However, if you really want to be impressed with Oklahoma's sophomore then you need to look at his 15 strikeouts to just two walks in his 18 innings of work this season. He also has an 0.50 ERA on the season which leads all Sooner hurlers.
In Oklahoma's weekend series at New Mexico, John came in for the final 1.1 innings of the game to allow no hits or walks to record his third win of the season. He got the four outs on just 15 pitches. Then on Sunday he worked four innings with no walks and three strikeouts while just allowing one hit to earn the first save of his Sooner career.
John shares the weekly honor with Texas A&M's Ross Stripling.
