OU Football 2012 - Sooners Left Out Of BCS, Will Face Texas A&M In The Cotton Bowl

The charade that is ESPN's Bowl Selection Show, virtually every bowl matchup was revealed via the interwebs and social media throughout Sunday. Including the fact that Northern Illinois had finished high enough in the BCS rankings, No. 15 to be exact, to bump Oklahoma out of a BCS bowl and likely matchup against Florida in the Sugar Bowl.

Instead, the Sooners will be making the short trip to south to Jerry World where they will face former conference foe, Texas A&M. Just one of a flurry of potential story lines for the game, Oklahoma could be facing a Heisman Trophy winner and at a minimum will be one of few, if any, teams in the history of college football to play three Heisman favorites in the same season.
