Oklahoma head coach, Bob Stoops, announced Monday during his weekly meeting with the media that suspended senior defensive tackle Stacy McGee has been reinstated to the football team.
McGee had been suspended for the first six games of the season due to a 'violation of university policy', but had been allowed to return to practice several weeks ago. The fact that he has been practicing bodes well for him with respect to playing time this Saturday against Notre Dame, but don't expect that to be a significant number of snaps as he continues to work his way back.
The news comes at what many are likely to call a convenient time, but will only help to boost a defensive tackle position previously limited to pretty much a three man rotation consisting of Casey Walker, Jamarkus McFarland, and David King.
