The 2011 preseason All Conference team is out and Oklahoma dominates the list. With a total of eight selections, plus Ryan Broyles also making the special teams list, and Travis Lewis being tabbed as the preseason Defensive Player of the Year the bar on the season expectation levels has officially been raised.

On the offensive side of the ball All American Ryan Broyles joins quarterback Landry Jones, center Ben Habern and running back Roy Finch on the first team list. For Finch being named first team All Conference should put to rest the opinion of a certain blogger for SBN who has staked his reputation on a preseason depth chart and stands by his opinion that there's nothing special about Oklahoma's sophomore running back. Knowing that the vast majority of the Big 12 media disagrees with the stance you've chosen to take has to be a bit humbling. As the old saying goes, "Its better to remain silent and be thought a fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Defensively the Sooners landed ends Frank Alexander and Ronnell Lewis along with cornerback Demontre Hurst and linebacker Travis Lewis who also was named as the preseason Defensive Player of the Year. With Ryan Broyles also being named as the All Conference punt returner the Sooners have eight players who occupy nine spots.
