Courtesy of the super sleuths over at SoonerScoop.com ($), photographic evidence of the #1 overall 2012 recruit's visit this weekend to Norman. Dorial Green-Beckham is in town with several family members (his father/coach, mother, and a couple brothers and sisters) to tour everything OU has to offer. He has visited Norman before this weekend, so this was probably just another opportunity for the rest of his family to get a look at things and meet/discuss things with the coaching staff. As you can see from the picture, he's being hosted by Coach Norvell and Coach Heupel (talking to Green-Beckham's mom in the background). Word was Coach Stoops was speaking at Brandon Everage'sfuneral yesterday and trying to get back quickly to be able to spend some time with Green-Beckham and his family as well.
Now I wouldn't expect news of a commitment or anything (he's not expected to make a decision before the end of the summer), but obviously getting the #1 recruit in the country on campus, with most of his immediate family no less, is never a bad thing. OU, Alabama, and Missouri are believed to be the current top three for Green-Beckham with some believing he's leaning towards OU. We'll see how things eventually play out, but this visit has to be considered a positive for the Sooners chances. Just walk him by that trophy case to help seal the deal!
Anyway, just wanted to share the info with those of you on here who follow recruiting like I do. Boomer Sooner.
