After averaging 22.5 points and 12.1 rebounds per game Blake Griffin became the first unanimous selection for the NBA's Rookie of the Year since David Robinson in 1990. Griffin set a Los Angeles Clippers record with 63 double-doubles on the season and was the only player in the NBA to average 20 plus points,.12 rebounds and three assists. However, his rookie campaign is mostly going to be remembered for his barrage of violent dunks in NBA cities from coast to coast.
He's the first former Sooner to be named as the Rookie of the Year since Alvin Adams did so in 1976. Congratulations Blake! Once again you've made Sooner Nation very proud.
