Big 12 Board of Directors votes against name change

So with that, as expected, the Big 12 will still be called the Big 12 despite only having ten teams.  Fearless leader, Dan Beebe, confirmed today that the Big 12 Board of Directors voted against a possible name change.  Beebe also stated that "a new branding initiative that will speak to the strength of the continuing 10 members is likely to be debuted during the Big 12's football media days on July 25-26th."

Now we can only hope it doesn't look something like this

Which given our faith (or lack there of) in Dan Beebe, we better prepare ourselves for the worst.
