OU Football - 2011 schedule is finally released

New, 38 comments

I was beginning to think the conference might just decide from week to week who would play one another, but with the news today from the Big 12 that the 2011 schedule has finally been completed I guess we won't get that enjoyment. Now the news comes with the caveat from the conference that "things could still change" but that for now the schedule is "close to final."  We've had some and will have plenty more breakdown on who/when things shake out, but for now here is how our schedule stands as of today.

Sept 3rd - Tulsa - We've known for some time the opener would be against the Golden Hurricanes, so no shock here.

Sept 10th - Bye - Will the week to prepare for FSU help or hurt?

Sept 17th - @ Florida State - Arguably the biggest non-con game of the CFB season.

Sept 24th - Missouri - A tough follow up to the trip to Tallahassee, but at least it's in Norman.

Oct 1st - Ball State - Better Should be an easy OU victory.

Oct 8th - (Dallas) texass - Who will be starting for the whorns by game #5?

Oct 15th - @ Kansas - Traveling the week after Dallas is never good, but to Lawrence is about as good as it gets.

Oct 22nd - Texas Tech - Another blowout in Norman?

Oct 29th - @ Kansas State - Stoops vs. Mentor.

Nov 5th - Texas A&M - In Norman, you have to like our chances to get some revenge for last year.

Nov 12th - Iowa State - They can win in Austin, not in Norman.

Nov 19th - @ Baylor - Griffin is always dangerous, but is that enough?

Nov 26th - Bye - Just weird for OU to not be playing Thanksgiving weekend.

Dec 3rd - @ Oklahoma State - First ever sellout in T.Boner Stadium at Stoolwater???

So what are your thoughts?  Where do you think we could struggle?  Would you rather have that first bye on some other week?  How many, if any, potential losses do you see?
